One of the must-do things in Kyoto: visit Kiyomizu-dera and drink the holy water from Otowa Waterfall 🤗 The water is separated into 3 streams, which each stream has different benefits such as longevity, success at studies, and fortunate love life. You CAN only drink from one stream, you'll be considered greedy if you drink from all 3. Hanami-koji Dori GION is one of my fave streets in Kyoto. This is where you can find Machiya (Japanese style townhouse) which are commonly used as tea house. And most importantly, Gion known for the area of Geisha/Geiko.

Geisha and her apprentice (Maiko) will show up around 5-6 pm everyday. It's when they start to work.
Tourists and photographers gather around the street to capture Geisha and Maiko while they're walking fastly to work in of the Machiya to serve their clients.

Colorful Kukurizaru at Yasaka Koshindo temple in Higashiyama, Kyoto. Kukurizaru is representing the good faith monkeys, a symbol of self control. It's said that if you want your wish to be granted, you must sacrifice another desire 🙊 This small temple is located near the Kiyomizudera temple 😊
