Setelah kemarin review @pondsindonesia Magic Powder BB, sekarang saya mau review sedikit rangkaian Ponds lainnya yang sudah saya pakai dari tahun kemarin. Ponds Age Miracle! Saya bergantian pakai day cream dan night cream. Saat day cream saya mau habis, kebetulan dapat kiriman Ponds Age Miracle Wrinkle Corrector Day Cream dari teh @melfeyadin yeay! Ukurannya juga yang kecil alias travel size jadi pas untuk pergi mudik. .

Wrinkle Corrector Day Cream berfungsi untuk membantu memperkuat kulit dari ancaman faktor yang mempercepat munculnya tanda-tanda penuaan seperti sinar matahari, polusi, dan stress. Duh umur sudah mendekati 30 gini memang harus rajin memakai produk anti aging. Kerasa banget sekarang bekas jerawat susah hilang dibandingkan dulu, hiks. .

Day cream ini mengandung SPF 18 PA++ yang memberikan perlindungan dari sinar UV. Selain itu, mengandung Retinol-C Complex yang bekerja pada lapisan kulit membuat kerutan tersamarkan lebih cepat dan wajah tampak muda bercahaya. Ga percaya? Swipe sampai foto terakhir untuk melihat wajahku yang polos hanya dengan Day Cream Ponds Age mIracle saja. Katanya sih bisa bikin kulit 10 tahun lebih muda. Wah bakal jadi ABG lagi dong ya hahaha. .

Sedikit review : ❤ Bagi yang membeli ukuran besar, kemasannya adalah kemasan kaca dengan tutup plastik. Namun jika membeli ukuran travel size, maka kemasannya terbuat dari plastik. ❤ Jika ingin lebih higienis, maka siapkan spatula kecil untuk mengambil day cream yang berwana pink muda ini sedikit demi sedikit. ❤ Tekstur creamnya cukup kental namun tidak membuat whitecast. ❤ Ketika diaplikasikan, creamnya gampang untuk dioleskan merata dan masih ada sensasi lengket pada wajah untuk beberapa saat, namun wajah terasa lembab. ❤ Sejauh ini saya cocok dan tidak mengalami iritasi
❤ Oiya, so far I have no wrinkles to date, alhamdulillah. .

Thanks to @prillsky I can't stop thinking about Tuku coffee so I caved in.
In the meantime here's a short review on The Ordinary products. Tried the Azelaic Acid and Retinol 2% for around a month and briefly tried the Vit C.
Though the percentage of the actives are on point but delivery and texture are everything. It's effective to some point, but overall I think it's not comparable to more expensive product where absorbtion and texture are better, hence product perform more effectively. All three products doesn't really absorb well, balls up and quite a nightmare to layer up with other products. You need to play around a bit.

Some of the oils that I've been using/used Jan-Feb.

1️⃣ #KariGran essential serum. Such a lovely serum! I used it during day time, it helps with hydration and smooth out my skin after heavy usage of retinol and acids. Glowing skin guaranteed.
2️⃣ #Farsali Rose Gold Elixir, which basically a rosehip oil. Calming, give that glow to the skin that you're dying for and you can use it as a replacement for moisturiser.
3️⃣#leahlaniskincare champagne serum. It's rather thick and doesn't really absorb well onto my dry skin. I don't think this is for me.
4️⃣ #SundayRiley UFO with 2% Salicylic Acid and very nice scent compared to Artemis. This is a great pick if you need clarifying oil or for those that have acne prone skin.

I'm on my peeling week. My new peel hero is the Alpha H Beauty Sleep Power Peel. It contains 15% glycolic acid and 0.5% retinol. The suggestion is to use it twice weekly. I've tried that. But I see more result using it one full week straight monthly. Like how I used the Sunday Riley Good Genes. The problem is, after using it for one full week my skin is very dry, so I always layer it with a nice serum oil and balm to give my skin hydration.

Ternyata incorporating new skincare in my routine takes a little bit of learning curve. Avéne TriAcnéal series merupakan skincare berbahan dasar retinol (vitamin a) dengan konsentrasi kecil, around 0.1%. I've been using it for 2 days and I notice small red bumps this morning *kemudian freak out*. So, I did lots of reading and found out couple of rules of thumbs how to use this stuff. Khususnya how does it play with my acid exfoliant. I still need to read more about it. Salah satu informasi baru adalah start off slow, use a pea size amount, dan hasil baru akan terlihat 8-10 weeks. I'll be posting my experience with the result, as always in my blog

One thing that is on my to do list is to write about moisturiser. I've been dragging for too long to find time to write about it so I'll just do it now on Instagram first.

Here are the bottom line:
1⃣ Find a moisturiser that fits your skin type: dry (try something rich and nourishing), normal (you can get away with anything) or oily (oil free, light or water-based).
2⃣ Don't dwell too much on targeted treatment or expect tok much from your moisturiser. Expect it to hydrate and hold on to it throughout the day. Nothing less. Nothing more.
3⃣ If it offers extras, great! But for extra treatment focus more on the serum NOT your moisturiser.
4⃣ I don't care much about the labelling: day cream or night cream. You want something that have ingredients that protect and helps wirh external agressor during the day (antioxidant etc) and light during the day. At night you want something more nourishing and have that extra oomph in it. Read what it does, what's in it and how it feels on the skin. Don't just rely on the labeling of day and night cream.
5⃣ Some ingredients suit better for daytime (vitamin C, antioxidant, etc) some during the night (retinol, etc).
6⃣If you're dehydrated (oily skin can get dehydrated too), don't pile on moisturiser, find a serum or hydrating toner to fix it.
I think that pretty much cover everything. But if it doesn't, feel free to ask.

Here's an update of the @vintnersdaughter active botanical serum after 2 weeks of using it.I think 2 weeks is too short to give a review but alot of people have been asking me about this serum.So here's a first impression. I think this is a really nice serum that makes the texture of your skin really better in terms of suppleness and elasticity. I pair it up with my retinol serum and I've never see it works this good. Retinol seems to be too drying and aggressive on my skin that it's hard to see result without compensating it with other nourishing and hydrating serums. This one by far is the best companion. On its own it is nourishing, hydrating and definitely makes your skin texture better. But with retinol it's a power couple. I see significant result in my smile lines like never before.Unfortunately, because this is so photosensitive, I haven't seen any brightening result. Everytime I'm using this during daytime and didn't use my sunscreen properly, it always made my skin red. So nowadays, I always apply thick layer of sunscreen if I use this during daytime.You also need to find the perfect amount of product to use because when I used more than 4 drops and not on damp skin or without adding mist, it tends to clogged the pores. So play around with application first.But I think I still need a month or so to be able to give a conclusive review. Because the ingredient itself is so complex. I need to use this after Ramadan to see whether it works on its own. Because my skin is really dry and dehydrated when I'm fasting, I can't experiment too much.

I have this @versoskincare product by accident. Some mix up in my order and I didn't really check my order properly once they arrived.

Long story short, I have this and it's probably one of the best things ever touch my eyes area.
Retinol on the eyes? Give it to me please! If there's a hope in softening my fine lines, this is it.

Finally opened my @vintnersdaughter bottle a couple of days back. At first I used 8 drops as suggested but my skin doesn't really absorp the good oil. It felt so oily and bumpy. I tried to tone it down to 4 drops and now my skin is happy. It feels so moisturising and it makes my skin feel so supple in the morning. I hate to love this pricey oil!I tried it both day and night and I think I'm going to stick using it at night.I noticed when I wore it during the day without thick sunscreen my skin looked really red.It's also a great oil to wear on top of my retinol.

The problem with using retinol serum is dry skin that seems to look lacklustre and lack in plumpness. Adding hyaluronic acid (HA) serum whenever I'm using retinol serum is a must! Together they make the appearance of fine lines and skin elasticity better. HA add plumpness to the skin.

You can never go wrong if you incorporate Retinol into your #skincarearsenal. This one easily becomes my #holygrail because it's light, velvety, have microencapsulated retinol and effective product. Read on more on my blog.
